The Market is Accelerating

The local market is progressively accelerating. Showings in February are up drastically over last year. For the month so far showings have increased 10%. However over the last two weeks they shot up 30% and over the last week they climbed 37% for the same period in 2023. 

Since rates are still relatively high I believe the additional showings are related to having more housing inventory (more options).

Also, as I mentioned last week, I’m expecting prices to climb over the next several months. In fact, preliminary February data shows that prices have increased 3% over last month following a 7-month plateau.
